Directions:

It is taken three times a day between meals. Follow the directions on your label carefully, and ask your doctor or pharmacist to explain any part you do not understand. Take ferrous sulfate exactly as directed. Do not take more or less of it or take it more often than prescribed by your doctor.

Warnings:

Do not use if you are allergic to any ingredient in ferrous sulfate. If you have certain iron metabolism problems (eg, hemosiderosis, hemochromatosis) or high levels of iron in your blood. If you are taking certain cephalosporins (eg, cefotetan) or disulfiram. Contact your doctor or health care provider right away if any of these apply to you.
